A Beginner’s Guide on Getting Started with Transfer Presses

Image
The transfer press is designed to run huge dies from left to right and front to rear. It can operate progressive or transfer dies and can transport huge, odd-shaped, or deep-formed components through the die using a transfer mechanism. To satisfy diverse project needs, transfer press stamping operations might use a single die, a series of dies, or a row of machines. Furthermore, because the portion is split from the strip at the start, it may be freely transported between stations. Over time, the transfer press stamping process has grown considerably more efficient. Manual transfer mechanisms and several presses were employed prior to the invention of automation technology. Today, automated transfer systems allow a stamping operation to be condensed into a single press. Straight-sided twin crank presses in the Eagle Max series range in capacity from 200 to 630 tons. Frames and slides are made from fatigue-free steel plates and a stress-relieved press construction to ensure long fra...
